Aug 29, 2008 - I thought they were a Liverpool band, only because I nipped into New Brighton on the Wirral the other week and they have an exhibition on in the 'Old Fort' of Rory Storm & The Hurricanes (Ringo's original band). Live music plus Rory's sister Iris (who married Shane Fenton/Alvin Stardust)loads of old photos with the Beatles & Rory etc. Some of the original band members of The Casuals and The Undertakers were there too. The exhibition is still on as far as I know !!!

Aug 29, 2008 - When parents named their daughters "Jesamine",it was a gift and future reference to this memorable pop song and a compliment to the people who made it,because it's got everything going for it.

Aug 29, 2008 - This is absolute quality. I remember first hearing the song on Radio Luxembourg (Stuart Henry show I think) in about '81. I was 15 and in the process of rejecting the contemporary dross (Jam, Clash excepted) that I felt abounded at the time. I was starting to really get into 60s stuff and this seemed the epitome of the end of the decade sound. It is brilliantly arranged, a superb melody and has a haunting quality. At first I thought it sounded like very early Bowie.

Aug 29, 2008 - Beautiful and ethereal. I'm a Yank who first heard the song in 1976, performed solo by an enchanting girl in a tiny club in Rota, Spain. Never forgot the song or the beautiful girl. She will always be my Jesamine.
