I installed new rotor heads. The top head is connected to an inner shaft. These upgrades will not increase performance, however by moving the push rods out one hole on the servo arm really made a more maneuverable machine. These are genuine E-Flite upgrade parts and will probably never break in a crash. Note: Make sure you have a package of extra blades, when learning, because the tips are brittle.

Sep 8, 2008 - Where is the science in this "Science Class"??? Why is this called Mr. Herberts Science Class???
NightFlyyer Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - Most of my videos are scientific plus I teach a science class too, as did my dad and uncle, Don Herbert, MR Wizard. This video is the science of installing upgraded parts on a very scientific and sophisticated model.

Sep 8, 2008 - dont they make a metal swashplate or is that just for the lama v3 and v4
NightFlyyer Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - Your welcome.
NightFlyyer Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - Yes they do, but since swash plates never break, I elected not to use it.

Sep 8, 2008 - i have an esky co comanche, one prob i have, is that sometimes the flybar comes off in mid flight
NightFlyyer Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - WOW, that is not good. I never heard of the flybar coming off. Maybe the weights or the paddles, but never the whole bar. Something must be broke. Maybe put a drop of "Amazing Goop" on it at the place that is not holding it would work.

Sep 8, 2008 - hay dave, can you make a video on how to put an aluminum swashplate on?
NightFlyyer Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - I don't have the Blade anymore, but probably would never change the swashplates anyway.
qwwqqe Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - that is soo stable! its really really ideal for begginers. i have a lama v4 and i am a begginer.. i crashed many many times, and bent the lower shaft. i cant take the shaft off coz the screw is glued to the retaining collar. is it the same as the BCX2? is it glued?
NightFlyyer Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - I know none that are glued. Maybe locktite, but the right size allen wrench should do it. There are 2 screws. The helis are identical, except for the radio.
qwwqqe Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - hmm i havent got my hands on one of those BCX2 but i think it has more quality plastic parts than the lama. im planning on getting one in the future when my lama v4 gets totally wrecked LOL.

Sep 8, 2008 - What happened to your blade? If you had it I was gonna send you an extreme tail to review..o well.
NightFlyyer Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - It wasn't mine.
unboxman Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - how do you quit the tail!!!!!!!!!!!
NightFlyyer Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - Not sure of the question, but the invisible tail rotor is still controlled by the left stick as it would be in a tail rotored heli.
unboxman Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - man i already quit the tail but how i quit the gear
unboxman Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - dace how you replace inner shaft
vigggggg Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - Hey you are really talented at flying the heliI have a blade cx2 and i wanted to make it more manuverable by changing the position of the push rod but I have one question. once I change the position do I have to make it longer or shorter or change anything else? And should I do it to both servos or just the servo that makes it tilt forward and backward? If you get a chance please reply thank you for your time
NightFlyyer Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - Quit????
NightFlyyer Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - I never had to, so I would read the book and look at the drawings, if it was me.
NightFlyyer Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - I would put the rod on the outer hole of the servo arm. It will give more throw. If you want more on fore and aft, move just that one. If you want it on both do both.
vigggggg Says:
Sep 8, 2008 - oh okay I just did both and its a huge difference thanks alot!

Sep 8, 2008 - If you have surpassed the fixed pitch versions, the Honeybee king 2 is a very good choice. You can google it or do a search in Xheli(.)com to see them.
